Open again (sorta)
By Dave • Aug 9th, 2008 • Category: NewsIt’s going to be a work in progress for a bit, but I’ve got a decent start on putting all the songs back on the site.
I have two goals:
#1: One or more good versions of every song the Dolls and/or Amanda have performed live, preferably an “evolution” of each song as played live if that’s possible. It’ll all be sorted out by album, and hopefully I can find some interesting variations that show just how unique each live performance can be
#2: Every publicly released live show that’s been around, for the people who prefer to listen to complete shows over just individual songs. I think I have all the recordings that have shown up, but in the case that you have a Dolls recording that I do not, please contact me!
Stuff may look messy while I find the time to clean it all up and finish adding things and uploading things and whatever else and your patience is appreciated.

I am thrilled by your initiative to share every DD show that you managed to tape yourself and/or to trade for.
For the DD fans living to far away from the venues where they perform this is a blessing. It has been hard to get a DD full show other than the ones posted on Dime or TTD.
I am also so grateful for the DD to be open about letting people tape their shows and share them over the internet. And to your remark of not knowing why tapers go through such a hassle, I can think of something that explains it…it is the idea to be able to give something w/o the expectation to receive something in return other than a huge “thank you”, at least that would be my driving force behind taping and sharing.
I personally have purchased every single official release they issued but I could not agree with you more when you say that they perform each song differently each time. I personally love “Delilah” and am obsessed in gathering every single performance of it I can get.
If donations to your efforts would help somehow, just count me in.

I was at a DD show last night, and this was the setlist (order may be wrong): Sex Changes, Night Reconnaissance, Mrs O, Half Jack, Amsterdam(cover), Coin-operated Boy, Girl Anachronism and War Pigs. This was 16th of August 08
